Moments In The Kingdom – 2

Moments In The Kingdom – 2

Jhn 20:1 The first of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early (when it was yet dark) unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.

So Mary Magdalene runs to Simon Peter whom Jesus loved and the other disciple and says, “They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we don’t know where they've laid him” – v: 2.

So Peter and the disciple head out to the sepulchre – v: 3. Peter and the other disciple they both running and what not; and the other disciple outruns Peter and gets to the sepulchre first – v: 4. And so this other disciple stoops down [looks inside] sees the linen clothes lying and yet doesn't go in – v:5.

Simon Peter shows up finally (having been outrun) goes into the sepulchre, sees the linen clothes lie – v:6, and the napkin that had been about Jesus head not even lying with the linen clothes, but was wrapped together in a place … by itself – v:7.

So now the disciple that had outrun Simon Peter and had arrived at the sepulchre first, goes in also – v:8, sees the linen clothes and the napkin lying apart – and believed [what Mary Magdalene had told them “They have taken away the Lord OUT OF THE SEPULCHRE, and we don’t know where they've laid him. [they still looking for Jesus body ya’ll]”

And why did they believe Mary Magdalene report:

v: 9 “[because as yet they – knew not – the scripture that he must rise again from the dead [Mark 8:29-31]. So Simon Peter and the other disciple they just go back home, period.

But not Mary: v: 11-13 But Mary stood without at the sepulchre weeping: and as she wept she stooped down [and looked] into the sepulchre and seeth two angels in white sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain; and they say unto her, “Woman, why weepest thou?” She saith unto them, “Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him.”

:14 And when she had thus said she turned herself back and saw Jesus standing, and knew not - - - that it was Jesus.

: 15-16 Jesus saith unto her, “Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou?” She, supposing {Jesus} to be the gardener saith unto [Him], “Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him and I will take him away.”

Jesus saith unto her, “Mary.” She turned herself and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master.

: 17 Jesus saith unto her, “Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to - my brethren - (O’Praise the Name of our Lord), and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father and your Father and my God and your God.” (Hallelujah Somebody!!!)

: 18-19 Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord and he had spoken these things unto her.

Then the same day at evening, being the first [day] of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled (for fear of the Jews) came Jesus and stood in the midst and saith unto them, “Peace unto you,” and when he had so said, he shewed unto them [his] hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.

And here is the point of the matter:

Jhn 20:21 Then said Jesus to them again, “Peace unto you: as Father hath Sent Me, even so Send I You.”

Luk 4:43 And {Jesus} said unto them, I Must Preach The Kingdom of God to other cities also: for therefore - - - - am I sent.

Luk 9:1 Then {Jesus} called his twelve disciples together And Gave Them Power And Authority Over ALL Devils And To Cure Diseases and He “Sent Them > > To Preach > > > “The Kingdom of God, And To Heal The Sick.”

“Peace unto you: as Father hath sent me, even so send I you.”

Love GOD, love HIS Word more than the doctrines of men – preach The Gospel of The Kingdom of Heaven.

(Matt 6:33; Luke 16:16)

Amen; and Amen
